NOPA was founded in 1964 by Niels Thostrup. The company is in Hobro in Jutland, just five minutes drive from the E45 European highway.

Today, the founder’s son, Finn Thostrup, is Chairman of the Board and the majority shareholder. The company’s activities comprise development, production and sales in the four main product categories of cleaning, dishwashing, laundering and personal care.

In addition to the head office in Hobro, NOPA has one more production facility in Jutland. We employ 225 people in development, production, sales and administration.

Total revenues in 2004/2005 amounted to DKK 474 million (about 64 million euros). This positions us as the largest private label manufacturer in our field in the Nordic countries.
